Lee Francis Timm’s journey began at home on May 30, 1945 in Scranton, ND to Frank and Evangeline (Brown) Timm. Lee passed from this life on January 23, 2020 at the West River Medical Health Center with family at his side after a long battle with cancer.
After attending Scranton Community School, he worked for various neighbors before marrying the love of his life Priscilla Lewton on November 30, 1963 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Bison, SD.
Lee was part owner of Tri-State Drilling where he drilled wells for seismograph and water wells in Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. He then worked with family on the family ranch until 1985, when he attended Lake Area Vo-Tech. He enrolled in the Machine Tool program and used that education at Western Machine in Watertown, SD until 2003 when Lee and Priscilla moved back to Hettinger to be closer to their family. Lee started working with his son Danian, bee- keeping at Red Dot Apiaries. Lee also worked at Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing as a braider and enjoyed being a part of a home town community. Lee loved to work so when the opportunity to retire arose he continued to work part-time at the Hettinger Golf Association specializing in maintenance and upkeeping the greens. During his part time work at the golf course, Lee also provided a small engine repair service from his home for anyone who asked. Lee took much pride in his work and in lending a helping hand to others whenever he could.
Lee was a simple man. One of his favorite pastimes was driving his tractor or pulling parade floats in the 4th of July parade. Some of his hobbies besides work were camping with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and loved going places even if it was just driving his grey Dodge around town. Lee loved his two sons, Danian and Shane, and had much pride in what they have become and what they’ve done.
Lee leaves to mourn his wife Priscilla of 56 years and two sons Danian (Kimberly) Timm and Shane (Jodi) Timm. He also leaves behind his six grandchildren, Nick (Sarah)Timm, Alan (Erin)Timm, David (Kellie) Timm, Julie (Eric) Miller, Jordan (Hayley Deaver) Timm, and Ashley Timm. Lee leaves 10 great grandchildren, Payton, Paige, Callie, Tucker, Hailey, Elijah, Maddix, Harper, Jaxson, and Easton.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Eva Timm, his brother Lynn, his two infant siblings, his two sisters-in-law Verna and Linda Timm, and his father and mother in-law Woodrow and Elizabeth Lewton.
Thank you for your prayers and support during our time of loss. It means so much to our family.
Warm Regards, The Timm Family
